A: Yes, NK Stone applies a high-quality penetrating impregnator to the natural stone we fabricate. An impregnator penetrates below the surface to help reduce the absorption of liquids and increase resistance to moisture and staining. It is important to remember that sealing makes natural stone more stain resistant but not stain proof.

Q: Will heat damage my granite countertop?

A: Granite is naturally very heat resistant and can withstand temperatures far beyond those encountered during normal kitchen use. However, we recommend using a trivet or hot pad beneath very hot cookware to protect your investment and reduce the possibility of damage from sudden, concentrated temperature changes.
